I did go to CVS this week to do a bit of therapy "free" shopping after a hard and long day at work. The stayfree pads were on sale BOGO and there was a BOGO coupon as well, so I got four packs for free. The Bounty Basic paper towels were on sale for $5.97 and then a $2 CRT printed out when I scanned my card. I also got a $1/3 Gold Emblem candies and found some on the clearance table for .24 ea so I got three of them for free. I also had a rain check for the Old Spice body wash for $4 each and I paired with a BOGO coupon and then got a $4 ECB back.
Make sure to utilize the fact that CVS does rain checks. They don't advertise it but all you have to do is ask for one. This way you can still roll your ECB's over when they have the items back in stock. I still have one for the household cleaners (including windex and scrubbing bubbles), but $10 worth ($2.50 each) and get $5 ECBs back. I have to find two more Windex coupons for $1 each and then I can get four for .25 each after ECBs back! How awesome is that? So get your rainchecks.
I started using one of the small coupon binder things that you can find at the dollar stores solely for my CVS stuff. In the front I keep my ECBs, then my CRT coupons that print out, then my rainchecks and also, I have been keeping my receipts so I can keep count of everything I've gotten and if I've maxed any of the ECB deals out because I can never remember so this way I can cash in on all of the deals. I also keep the coupons that I am going to use that trip in there, so that way everything is in one spot and I don't have to go digging for anything. I keep this in my reusable bag that I use each time so I can scan my "bag tag" and get those ECBs as well. I just keep it stowed in my car always ready for the next shopping trip!
