Cereal Coupon Criminal

I finally went “real” grocery shopping for the first time in I know at LEAST four weeks.  I have been slack since we’ve had so much going on between baby’s birthday and going to the beach.  I decided not to neglect my family’s nutritional needs for another moment and finally went this weekend.  Granted, I did wait until the last minute and went at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, but hey, I went and that’s all that counts.  I didn’t do as good as I normally do but we needed a bunch of stuff we don’t normally have to buy (like the jar of minced garlic), but I did well.  I didn’t go to “my” HT because they know me all too well and know I use the “wrong” coupons on items, but I’m past the point of caring and just drove an additional few miles to a different one where they don’t have my picture posted as a “Cereal Coupon Criminal”!

Reynold’s Wrap Pop Up sheets – 1.29 - .75Q for reynold’s wrap dbld = free

Smart Balance non stick cooking spray – 2.99 – 2.00Q for smart balance milk = .99

All General Mills products have UPC 16000… this is for cereals, fiber one products, nature’s valley granola bars, brownie mixes, etc. so I used the .50 Q for fiber one pop tarts off the Nature’s Valley granola bars so this reduced them significantly to 1.00 off 1 versus using the .75 Q on two.  Could have used these on brownie mix or even Bisquick products (the packets of the biscuit mix would have been free!)

The Pepperidge farm bread coupons work on the Pepperidge farm cookies and even Goldfish!

I bought Bounce dryer sheets 80 ct for 3.99 – 3.00 tide release coupon = .99 each (I needed dryer sheets badly)

I found so many things that I could use wrong coupons on!

Gillette Customer Plus Pivot razors on sale for 5.99 – 4.00 Gillette coupon = 1.99 for 11 razors!!! So .18 ea!

L’Oreal Kids Shampoo for 3.59 – 3.00 L’Oreal hair color coupon = .59

The Lever soap coupons match the UPC for Dove products so this would be great to use too.

I really can’t wait for triple coupons to start and I really hope they do on 07/21/10 because I have the day off and will GLADLY go to the store and rack up on some cheap/free stuff using these tricks!!!  You just can’t confuse the register and use too many wrong coupons with the same UPC.  Stick to only three per UPC if using the wrong ones.  Then put your wrong ones on top of the stack and the right ones on the bottom that way if one of your right coupons rings up wrong because of a wrong one applying to the product you can show you did get that item and they will just do an override.
