AC Moore

AC Moore has a coupon you can print here for 20% off your total purchase.  This coupon is only good on Friday and Saturday this week (07/01/11 & 07/02/11) but is good for regular AND sale items!  They also advertise on the email that they are having a 75% off sidewalk sale.  I’m hoping I might be able to snag a few items for a good deal!

The Start of our Day Trip Summer

While the girls are little I have figured it’s best to make all the memories I can, spend all the time with them I can get, be a “yes” mom, take tons of pictures and hang out with my girls while they still like me!  We know there is going to be a period of a few years where they will think dad and I are the most ignorant people who don’t know what we’re talking about.  So before the days come that I long to embarrass them in front of their friends I have decided that the next three months are going to be filled with day trips, singing in the car, making memories and taking pictures (so I have proof that they did like me at one point!).

This year we are going to start with Wet n Wild Emerald Point.  It’s not a bad drive from the house so we’re going to start out early and be there when they open so we can play the day away.  I have done some research and learned a few things about the park before we head out.

·         You can purchase tickets online (no discount for buying online) but this does allow you to bypass any lines at the entrance.

o   Day Ticket (48”+) - $33.99

o   Day Ticket (<48”) - $22.99

o   60 and older - $22.99

o   Two and under – FREE!!!

o   They only need 24 hour notice to get group rates… starts at 15 people and would take it down to $26.00 each!

·         The only discount tickets I have found is on NC military bases you can purchase them for $5 less than online or at the park.

·         They do have combo tickets available for admission and meal or admission, meal and locker.  I am going to go for the admission, meal and locker combo for $48.99 because I’m going to get a locker anyways so that would only mean paying $6 more for the meal and that’s worth it considering their prices are always inflated at these places.

·         Parking is $7 (cash only)

·         Locker rental $9.00 per day – good idea for the dry clothes you want to wear home (take some travel toiletries to wash off before you go home in case the kids pass out!)

·         Cooler check is $2.00 per day – however, you have to eat OUTSIDE the park at the picnic tables which they state are extremely limited.  This means you can leave and re-enter the park, but you must be get your wristband before exiting.

·         No outside food or drinks are permitted “with the exception of unopened bottled water and needed baby items.”  I’m thinking sippy cups with juice and a few packs of snacks might be in order for baby items!

·         There are 2 kiddie parks since my girls are too little to do any big rides

·         Water wings and donuts are allowed in the kiddie areas, but are not approved flotation devices.

I am looking forward to my trip this weekend with my girls!  I will let you know how it goes!

Harris Teeter Super Doubles

Harris Teeter has super doubles starting today (insert happy dance here!)

Here are the basics on Harris Teeter’s coupon policy

·         You must have a VIC card.  You can get at the customer service desk in under two minutes.

·         Doubles  coupons with a face value of 0.99 or less every day… during super doubles this limit is raised to face value of 1.98.

·         Doubles up to 20 coupons PER HOUSEHOLD (not per card).  If you and your spouse both have a card registered to the same address they are linked!

·         Will double up to three identical coupons (must have the item required for each coupon).

·         BOGO items ring up half price so you may use a coupon on each item.

·         Senior discount on Thursday.  Must be 60 or older.

·         To get more deals you need to register your VIC card online for the eVIC specials.  This will give you special prices on items based on your purchase history.  You will get these via email and they may print on the bottom of your receipt as well.

·         E Coupons… once you register your VIC card online you need to check regularly as they have e coupons that you can load to your card.  These can be used in conjunction with your physical coupons!  These coupons come in your weekly email from HT.

I will post my first transaction here shortly!  It was great!  Very proud.

Chick Fil A Cow Appreciation

Chick Fil A’s Cow Appreciation day is back!!!  Put a cow “costoom” and head to your local Chick Fil A and “Git free chikin”!  Nothing better than free food and especially Chick Fil A.

What do you think about the new spicy chicken items?  I like the sandwich but haven’t tried the biscuit… not sure my taste buds are up for that kind of heat first thing in the morning.  I might just have to break down and try it because everything I’ve ever ordered from Chick Fil A has been wonderful!

CVS Summer Gas Card Deal

CVS has a promotion for the summer (ends August 28th) that if you buy $30 worth of participating products during that week you will receive a print out at the bottom that you can redeem for a $10 gas card.  This promotion resets each week, and per the CVS website so will your account.  Example… if you buy $15 worth of products this week it will not roll over for the next week.  Not all the items need to be purchased in one transaction, but can be accumulated for the week.  The $30 purchase requirement is BEFORE coupons and ECBs!  All of the items are denoted with a little blue circle with a gas pump in it so they should be easy to spot.

This week’s items include…

Folgers coffee (22.6-33.9 oz): $8.99, limit 3

Coke 2L:  $0.99, limit 5

Lysol disinfectant spray (19 oz) or wipes (80 ct): 2/$10.00, limit 4

Palmolive (10 oz):  $0.88, limit 5

Finish Jet Dry rinse (8.45 oz), gel pacs or powerball tabs (20 ct): $2.99, limit 3

M&M’s (9.9-15.4 oz): 2/$5.00, limit 4

M&M’s (19.2 oz): $4.00, limit 4

Swedish Fish or Sour Patch (14-16 oz): 2/$5.00, limit 4

Twizzlers (11-32 oz): 2/$4.00, limit 4

Gatorade or Sobe Thirst Quencher (32 oz) or Lifewater (20 oz):  BOGO, limit 8

Doritos or Tostitos (9-13 oz, excludes baked) or Tostitos Salsa (15.5 oz): 2/$5.00, limit 6

Edy’s ice cream (48 oz): BOGO, limit 4

Hershey’s singles assorted (1.3-2 oz): B2G1, limit 9

There are many match ups that you can Google search, but most are $25 and then you get the $10 gas card.  While that is a good deal… there isn’t much that I need from this list and the first place to save money is to NOT buy things you don’t NEED.

Triples confirmed!

Southern Savers has confirmed that HT will be doing triple coupons next week starting on Wednesday 05/18/11.  She has never steered me wrong when telling all about the specials that HT is going to have.  I am going to try and come up with a good list of things that I’m going to get with my smaller coupons.  I go through them and check the express lane check out function on HT’s website.  It’s a GREAT tool when you are thinking that a product would be a good deal when paired with a coupon.
